Inter Milan’s chief executive Ernesto Paolillo has revealed that his club have not received an offer for playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

The Dutchman has been closely monitored by a number of top European clubs, particularly English champions Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson has identified Sneijder as the perfect replacement for the recently retired Paul Scholes, however despite those claims, Paolillo has confirmed that they are yet to receive any form of offer.

“Are Manchester United still after Sneijder? We haven’t seen or heard from anyone – that’s a story I’ve heard from you,” he told reporters, according to Sky Sport Italia.

“Is Wesley definitely not for sale? I don’t think there’s anything that can’t be sold, it all depends on the price.

“You never say no if a big opportunity comes your way, but it does have to be a real opportunity.

And in regards to the Nerazzurri’s reported interest in Manchester City’s Carlo Tevez, Paolillo added that his brief meeting with sporting director Marco Branca was just a coincidence.

“We can’t stop him from coming to Milan or going to the same beaches as Branca, but we’re not going there looking for him,” he added.
