Juventus have joined the race to sign Inter Milan’s key defender, who is reportedly struggling to agree terms to a new deal with the Nerazzurri.

Manchester City and Chelsea have also held talks with the Milanese club earlier in the summer, over the future of powerful Brazilian defender Lucio.

According to the latest reports from Sky Italia however, the Bianconeri’s general director Beppe Marotta is closely monitoring developments in Milan, as he and the club believe that Lucio could be the perfect partner for Giorgio Chiellini in the centre of defence next season.

With less than one year remaining on his contract at the San Siro, the Brazilian may be tempted to make the controversial switch, in order to receive the pay rise he is after.
