Roma talisman Francesco Totti has refuted rumours that Antonio Cassano is set to leave AC Milan, in favour of a return to the Stadio Olimpico.

Cassano has been linked with a move away from the Rossoneri this summer, after falling down the pecking order at the club last term.

Having been linked with the likes of Genoa and Fiorentina in recent weeks, the latest club tipped to move in have been his former club the Giallorossi, as part of a potential swap deal for Marco Borriello.

Totti has other ideas however, whilst insisting that the club do not have any interest in a Cassano return.

“I haven’t heard from Cassano for a lifetime,” Totti affirmed to Corriere dello Sport.

“There has been no contact for a while and I don’t even have his mobile phone number. I wouldn’t ring him to call him back to Rome.

“It’s now time for something to be made clear. I am no longer getting involved in questions about the transfer market. It has absolutely nothing to do with me. There are directors at this club who deal with these matters.”
