Inter Milan have reignited their interest in Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez, according to the latest reports.

With Samuel Eto’o seemingly on the verge of joining Russia’s Anzhi Makhachkala, the Nerazzurri are in desperate need of a replacement.

According to Sky Sports24, Inter’s financial problems have placed the club in a difficult position, with regards to purchasing the Argentine outright.

City are believed to want at least €40 million for Tevez, however the Italians are hopeful of signing him on a free loan deal, with the option to purchase his services outright in 12 months time.

Despite the potential €35 million sale of Eto’o to Russia, technical director Marco Branca is reluctant to use funds raised from the sale, and has insisted the club will stay true to the offer they made a fortnight ago.
