Giallorossi captain Francesco Totti is a major doubt for Friday night’s Serie A fixture at Udinese, Ansa have reported.
After only just returning to the first team, after a month out with a thigh strain, with a substitute appearance in Sunday’s 2-1 victory at home to Leece it was hoped that he had made a full return to fitness.
However, an ankle injury looks likely to prevent him from being considered for selection by coach Luis Enrique in Udine.
The extent of Totti’s injury is not yet known and he will undergo a scan today find out more.
Other injury worries for Roma include Marco Borriello with a muscular thigh problem and both Aleandro Rosi & David Pizarro require intensive physio treatment before a decision can be made on their fitness.
