Last summer he was a surprise last-minute signing for , but former midfielder has quickly become a firm first-choice player for the .

The Bosnian spoke to about his current moment and that of the team:

“We are growing. It’s what you can see on the pitch and from the results,” he said.

“What gives me more faith is seeing the group get stronger and the dressing room compact. We work well, there’s harmony, and the technical level is very high. I have good hope for the future.

“The project is important, the team has won me over, not to mention the city. I am more and more surprised every day by the warmth of the fans. I’ve never seen something like this.”

On what the team should aim for, Pjanic said: “I think we can aim to finish in the top three. In the reigning champions are always considered favorites to win the title, but we are there too. The season is long, we will do well. But let’s be careful of and Napoli, they’ve impressed me.”

Finally, on captain : “He is a great example, it’s incredible to train and play with him. He’s a leader, and I knew it, but he’s different from all the others. His football is joy. And that makes playing alongside him wonderful.”
