Alexandre Pato is the latest in a long line of players to be linked with big spending French Giants PSG, with the club reportedly offering the Rossoneri in the region of €50m to take the Brazilian forward to Paris.

AC Milan have categorically denied these rumours, calling them “unfounded gossip”, but the pending arrival of Pato’s mentor and “Godfather” Carlo Ancelotti at PSG could be a big factor.

Pato’s agent announced on French radio station RTL that “an offer has been made, and he(Pato) is happy with it, it now depends on Milan.”

A combination of the familiarity  between the Brazilian and fellow countryman Leonardo, a former Coach and the man who brought the 22 year old to Via Turati in 2008, Carlo Ancelotti and the offer itself, this story could have more basis than what was first thought.

Milan are expected to be stubborn, Adriano Galliani in particular stating that Pato will not leave, and Barbara Berlusconi, board member and Pato’s girlfriend, could have a say too.

That said, the offer could be too hard to refuse. We’ll keep you posted here on Forza Italian Football.
