Genoa hope to welcome back midfield pair Marco Rossi and Miguel Veloso, but both are struggling to prove their fitness. There is better news for Davide Biondini and Kevin Constant who should both feature, while Cesare Bovo and Luca Antonelli are ruled out. Having conceded 36 goals this season, the Rossoblu have the third worst defensive record in Serie A, with a whopping 28 goals scored in total in their last five games. Pasquale Marino’s side are chasing their third straight home win, but Lazio are unbeaten at the Marassi since March 1992. With Genoa’s last draw coming on October 10, expect plenty of goals in the Sunday lunchtime kick-off.
Top scorer Miroslav Klose is in line to return from the thigh injury that kept him out of the win over Milan in mid-week. Andre Dias picked up a problem during that game, and could join the likes of Stefano Mauri, Cristian Brocchi and Lorik Cana on the sidelines. Libor Kozak, Stephen Makinwa and Alfaro are all injured, and following the sales of Djibril Cisse and Giuseppe Sculli, Coach Edy Reja’s options are limited. The Biancocelesti remain three points ahead of fifth placed Inter, while a win could see them leap-frog Udinese depending on the Zebrette’s result at Fiorentina.
