A late two-goal salvo from Francesco Totti and Marquinho ensured Roma’s Champions League dreams may still be alive as they bested fellow 3rd place chasers Udinese in Rome.

Luis Enrique’s men took an early lead when Pablo Osvaldo fired past Samir Handanovic after the goalkeeper had originally did well to keep him out.

The Friuliani equalised though as Antonio Di Natale’s pass was converted by Gelson Fernandes before half time as the visitors looked to make it back into Europe’s premier competition.

These hopes took a serious hit with mere minutes remaining as Roma began to believe once more when Francesco Totti scored after good work from Osvaldo and he teed up the captain for an easy finish.

The win was put beyond doubt in the final minute when Bojan’s fine run and cross was met by the head of Marquinho who headed home for his second strike of the season.
