Chievo’s American midfielder Michael Bradley recently spoke of his desire to join a more illustrious club as rumors spread that Palermo have taken an interest in him.

“Palermo is among the most important clubs in the Italian championship with a great following and they carry a great tradition. When I went to Palermo with Chievo this season I remained fascinated by the beauty of the stadium and by the passion emitted by the fans.

“I’m very happy in Verona, but I’ve made it clear that it’s a dream to be able to play in a great side,” the 24-year-old told calciomercato.it.

“Interest from Roma and Napoli? I read in the papers the possible interests of these clubs towards me and it’s always pleasing to see one’s name approached.

“I’m truly in love with Italy and its football, it’s the reason why I would prefer to continue my adventure in this country should I leave Chievo. My agent is in continuous contact with the director Sartori, but for the moment I’m only thinking about doing well for my national team, with the goal of closing out a positive season,” he added.

“The assessment of my first season in Italy is definitely a positive one. To play at the highest level in Italian football was always a dream of mine, which is why I can’t be satisfied by the results achieved both at the individual and team level.”
