According to the Brazilian daily Estado de Minas, the President of Atletico Mineiro, Alexandre Kalil, has contacted the agents of Inter’s Diego Forlan with a three year offer worth €six million.
The newspaper states Atletico would have to pay Inter a sum of four million euros to initiate the deal.
In addition, Forlan has been offered a monthly salary of 400,000 reals (approximately 153,000 euros), but the Uruguayan has demanded at least 700,000 reals.
Forlan has been persistently linked away from Inter after a dismal season in which he managed to score only two goals in 14 appearances.
