Juventus have been told that Stevan Jovetic will cost €30 million cash and they will not accept any player exchanges by Fiorentina.
Specualtion of a possible move was sparked by the Old Lady’s general director Beppe Marotta after admitting that he was the kind of player they are looking for.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has responded stating Jovetic is a key player for the club and if they do decide to sell him, he will not come cheap.
The former Roma official discussed, “I have spoken with the owners and they have told me that the player is not for sale,”
“Saying that, there is a gentleman’s agreement that if a €30m offer is made, without players included in the bid, then we can sit around a table and discuss it.
“With Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic gone, is Jovetic the last remaining champion in Serie A? He’s a really strong player and we want to start a new project with him in it.”
Juve are seeking out a ‘top player’ and Jovetic, alongside Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie, are high priorities on their wish-list.
