Juventus came from behind twice to overcome a resilient Napoli side 4-2 in the Supercoppa Italiana after extra time.

The Bianconeri found themselves behind thanks to an Edinson Cavani strike, but levelled soon after when new signing Kwadwo Asamoah struck from range, but just before half time Goran Pandev restored the Parentopei’s lead with a deft chip over Gianluigi Buffon.

In the second period Juve levelled once more, this time from an Arturo Vidal penalty. Napoli then pressed the self destruct button as Pandev was sent off for insulting the referee then Camilo Zuniga was sent off just before the 90 minutes were up.

A Christian Maggio own goal, then a Mirko Vucinic strike sealed the win for the Serie A champions.
