Udinese must focus against Braga in Guidolin’s most important match
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin believes the Champions League playoff tie against Sporting Braga is the most important of his career.
The Zebrette managed a 1-1 draw in Portugal with the second leg being played on Tuesday evening at the Stadio Friuli.
“It is the most important game of my life, there is nothing more to say,” he told the press.
“We have been chasing this dream for two years and perhaps so have our opponents. We know what’s at stake here and we want to win.
“I have prepared for the game without thinking of the first-leg result. Qualification is at stake and the percentages are equal.
“Braga are an excellent team and we knew it before the first match. They have quality and experience.
“Improving our second half performances – after the ties at Braga and Fiorentina – or paying close attention to their long-range shots will not be enough to defeat them.
“We need to play with focus throughout because we will be facing a very lively team.”
