Despite losing 3-0 to Napoli, Lazio manager Vladimir Petkovic was impressed by striker Miroslav Klose’s honesty which led to a Lazio goal being nullified.

In the fourth minute, Klose notified the referee that the goal he scored came off his hand after protests by the Napoli players.

“The moment was somewhat decisive. Not only did we not score, but after that we were a bit deflated,” Petkovic said to Mediaset Premium.

“We were too placid on the field and the aggressiveness passed from us to Napoli.

“Klose demonstrated that he is a true man.”

Petkovic’s praise of his striker was not extended towards the officials who deemed Napoli’s third goal to be onside.

“Cavani was clearly offside. The linesman was very far from the action.”

The Bosnian is not worried that the Biancocelesti have now lost their past two matches, saying that, “We need to keep our feet on the ground, we need to recreate the positive energy.

“There are no alibis, there are no other excuses.”
