Jesus Llorente, agent and brother of Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, spoke about the failed summer dealings with Juventus, and the Spaniard’s future in Italy.

Negotiations broke down in the summer transfer window after the Bianconeri refused to pay the cancellation fee.

“In the summer Juventus wanted him,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.com.  “But Athletic refused to sell before the release clause was met.”

It is rumored that Juventus will try to make a bid for the striker during the upcoming transfer window, and it may involve a smaller fee.  Athletic Bilbao may also see Inter come into the chase.  Jesus discussed the possibility of playing in Italy.

“Why not?  Italy is a great championship, and Fernando would love to play there.  Juventus is a fantastic team, but so is Inter, AC Milan, and Manchester City.  We will see what happens in January.”

Llorente’s contract expires at the end of the season, so it remains to be seen whether they will keep Juventus waiting, or whether they will try to get something out of the deal in a January transfer.
