Current Manchester United defender and Juventus target Nemanja Vidic has caught the eye of Spanish giants Barcelona.

The 30-year-old is a target of Juventus boss Antonio Conte who is looking to add some leadership and experience to his backline in order to compete for multiple trophies.

Vidic’s contract with Manchester United expires in the summer of 2013 and is therefore free to begin talks with interested clubs in January.

This has caught the eye of Barcelona who are looking to bolster their thin backline which has been stretched due to injuries to regular starters Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique.

Vidic is currently out recovering from a knee injury suffered in the Champions League. He is expected to return in November.
