Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic was the latest coach to be left frustrated and upset by refereeing decisions during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina.

Although the Biancocelesti boss was unhappy at things that went against his side, he did however credit the Viola for their performance.

He said: “We were not at 100% and we gifted them the first half because they were aggressive and pushed high up the field.

“The second half we dominated until decisions went against us. The goal [Lazio’s which was ruled out] was not offside, clearly. I was also told that there may have also been a penalty for a Juan Cuadrado handball but I do not know.”

The referee sent off two Lazio players, Cristian Ledesma and Hernanes, but Petkovic chose instead to discuss how well the hosts had played.

“We should not diminish the credit owed to Fiorentina for their performance,” said Petkovic. “They were much more attacking and they deserved the victory and had it not been for the incidents, they may have deserved it even more.”
