AC Milan at last moved into the top half of the table, albeit possibly only for a day, with a convincing 5-1 win over Chievo.

First half goals from Urby Emanuelson, Riccardo Montolivo and Bojan Krkic cancelled out Sergio Pellissier’s goal for the away team before Stephan El Shaarawy and Giampaolo Pazzini struck in the second half.

The home side took the lead after 16 minutes when a loose ball fell into the path of Emanuelson who made no mistake, dispatching the shot expertly.

However, no sooner had Chievo went behind and they were back on level terms when Pellissier headed home to silence San Siro.

The Rossoneri did get their noses back in front though when Montolivo, sporting new Adidas boots that he designed himself, celebrated his new footwear by drilling home coolly from the edge of the area.

They added another before the half time whistle sound as Bojan finally grabbed his first goal for the club by curling home from outside the box with the aid of a slight deflection.

El Shaarawy and Pazzini both went close in the second half before ‘Il Faraone’ did net his obligatory goal from an excellent Ignazio Abate cross and in the process became Serie A’s top scorer.

Pazzini notched a fifth in injury time to send the home fans home happy as he finished well from El Shaarawy’s pass for his fourth of the season.

That comfortable win eases some of the pressure on Massimiliano Allegri.
