Juventus’ Alessandro Matri has been targeted by Chelsea and Arsenal, as both clubs are set to battle for the €16m-rated striker.
The Italian international maybe on the market in the January transfer window after much competition for places in the starting XI at Turin.
Arsenal have been linked with former Cagliari hit-man a proposed exchange for Swiss international Johan Djourou, according to reports in the Italian and English media.
Chelsea have also made enquiries and are also prepared to offer Matri a chance join the current European champions.
The Juventus striker has a price-tag of €16m, but may fetch around €12.9m.
