The possibility has increased notably of AC Milan making a move for Inter’s Wesley Sneijder, according to reports on Calciomercato.

The Rossoneri are looking to sign another midfielder, possibly due to the underperforming of Kevin Prince Boateng, with the Dutchman now a viable option.

President Massimo Moratti wants to offer Sneijder, who has not enjoyed a good run in the side with injuries of late, a new contract but one that will see him earn considerably less wages.

However, the player is reportedly not too happy about signing such a deal which has alerted their city rivals and others such as Manchester United to the situation.

Massimiliano Allegri and Adriano Galliani are both believed to be big admirers of the Champions League winner while he has compatriots such as Urby Emanuelson and Nigel De Jong and his neighbour Boateng in the dressing room at Milanello.

The 28-year-old has made 114 appearances and scored 25 goals in all competitions for the Nerazzuri since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2009.
