On Wednesday night Tottenham Hostpur fans were attacked by a group of thugs believed to have been comprised of a small group of Roma and Lazio ultras.
The Spurs fans were attacked in the Drunken ship pub in Rome by the group wielding brass knuckles, bats, iron bars and rocks, as well as knives.
As a result of the violence the police have arrested two people, who are members of the Roma ultras and according to eyewitness reports there were also anti-semitic chants aimed in the direction of the Tottenham fans.
Two English fans were stabbed one in the head and the other in the groin.
Here is a picture of the one of the fans in hospital following the incident. Be advised it is a little horrific and not for the faint hearted.
hope they recover well and hope fifa now step up fine and band lazio and catch these disgusting mental supporters that did this! And anyothers that was involved in this horrific attack!
Should be thrown out of the Europa league, how the ultras can act in such a way even if their not Lazio fans its barbaric and not what modern football is about. If they want to fight get in the gym, don’t hide behind bandanas and a gang…..
