AC Milan look set to dip into the transfer market in January in order to replace Nigel de Jong.

The news comes following an interview with Milan owner, Silvio Berlusconi, who seemed to confirm these rumours.

The former Italian Prime Minister told Sky Sports Italia after the Torino game, “We’re disappointed, it is a real shame for De Jong.”

“We’re evaluating the opportunity of going back on to the market if that is what is necessary.”

The Dutchmen joined the club from Manchester City in the summer, and has had 12 appearances for the Diavolo scoring once.
