Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has experessed his love for the play of 20-year-old AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy.

“El Shaarawy is a very mobile, very technical young player. His philosophy fits perfectly with mine,” Wenger said in an interview with Eurosport.

El Shaarawy has scored again this weekend – his 14th of this Serie A campaign to lead the scorer’s chart – and continues to demonstrate his impressive quality consistently.

It is estimated that El Shaarawy is worth a minimum of €30 million, however Arsenal is unlikely to convince him to leave or coerce Milan to sell the player. He is a life-long supporter of the outfit and the club has already pledged their commitment to his future development.

El Shaarawy’s prolific socring record has led the recent surge of form experienced by Milan in the Serie A table, catapulting them into seventh place from a poor start of the season which saw them lingering around the basement for a few weeks.

Milan are now only two points behind Roma after four consecutive Serie A victories, including a 1-0 victory over league leaders, Juventus, in November.

Milan will have the opportunity to overtake Roma just before the Christmas break as the clubs will face off on December 22.
