Palermo is in desperate need for a striker, and are considering making a move for Genoa’s Ciro Immobile while sending right-back Eros Pisano in the other direction.

Palermo sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco is hoping to bring the 23-year-old in on loan in January to give his squad an immediate and much needed boost in attack, as a long-term injury to Abel Hernandez has left the squad short on the attackers needed for manager Gian Piero Gasperini’s preferred three-man forward line.

According to calciomercato.com, Palermo would be willing to send a player in the other direction, with Eros Pisano being mentioned as a possible makeweight. The Grifoni are in need of depth at fullback, and the 25-year-old can play on either side of the defense.

Immobile, who is co-owned by Juventus and Genoa, has appeared in all 16 league matches for the Rossoblu, however, he has scored only four times for the second from bottom side. Like the rest of the squad, Immobile has struggled of late as he hasn’t scored since the 3-1 loss to Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna over three weeks ago.

Immobile has also been linked to a move back to Pescara, where he scored 28 times in 37 matches last season, helping lead the Delfini back to Serie A.
