AC Milan to move for Destro and Ogbonna during January

look set to bolster their squad in January and have set Angelo of and Mattia of as possible transfer targets.

Following the €15 million sale of Alexander Pato to Corinthians, the Rossoneri are on the look out for an attacker, a void which they believe Destro could fill.

The young Roma striker has been inconsistant for Roma this season, scoring 5 goals in 15 appearances, and is often kept out of the starting line up, by the more impressive Pablo Osvaldo.

It would not be the first time, in recent times, that the Rossoneri took a young striker off of Roma’s hands following Bojan Krkic’s similar move last summer.

The transfer of Ogbonna would be a great coup for the Rossoneri considering the interest being shown in the 24-year-old. Both Inter and Juventus, among others, have shown interest in the Torino youth graduate.

Both men have also been given their senior Italy debuts over the past year, with Ogbonna going on the play five games for the Azzurri, and Destro making four appearances while also contributing one goal.

About the Author

- There was always an Italian presence in the home during my childhood, as my parents often lodged out the spare-room to Italian students. Already a child with a keen interest in football, the obsession with calcio that came along with these visitors seemed only natural. Thankfully, I outgrew a Parma jersey I received as a gift from one such student, and traded it for a Roma shirt. The lure of Zeman's gladiator's was irresistible, as was the technique of the young maestro Francesco Totti. 15 years on, and although Totti has gone from young prodigy to legend, Zeman is back and I'm still waving the red and yellow flag.
