Juventus have all but signed Nicolas Anelka for the rest of the season with consent from FIFA all that is needed, reports in Italy suggest.

The Frenchman is waiting to hear if the termination of his contract with Shanghai Shenhua is recognised by football’s governing body.

The Bianconeri have reportedly agreed a deal with the striker of €600,000 for a six month loan, then bonuses of €200,000 if he plays 12 matches, €200,000 is Juve win the Scudetto, and €300,000 if they win the Champions League.

Anelka moved to Shanghai in January 2012 on a two year deal, but has recently been in talks with the club to cancel his contract, it is thought he will forfeit the remainder of his €12 million a year salary in return for a free transfer.
