Parma and Amauri’s agent have each confirmed that they have rejected an offer from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

A score of recent reports claimed that the Germans have sent envoys to the peninsula to engage in talks as they are keen on securing the services of the Brazilian-born Italian international.

“Amauri is happy at Parma,” representative Giampiero Pocetta said. “The meeting with the club was to confirm their intention of keeping the player despite the offers, in particular the one from Hoffenheim.”

Antonello Preiti, technical director for the Ducali, also informed Radio Crc of the club’s desire to retain the journeyed hitman.

“We want to keep Amauri, not just because he is a strong striker with great experience, but also as he is a good person.”
