Zenit St Petersburg surprise AC Milan with offer for Abate

Rumours in Italy are emerging with the surprise story that Zenit St Petersburg have offered €10m for AC Milan full back Ignazio Abate.

The Milan defender came through the Rossoneri’s youth academy has established himself as an important first team player.

Earlier in his career he gained vital experience whilst on loan to Napoli, Sampdoria, Piacenza, Modena, Empoli and Torino.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Luciano Spaletti’s Zenit are ready to offer Milan €10 million.

Milan are currently going through a transitional period as they look to rejuvenate their squad with a new outlook on youth.

The Rossoneri have offloaded Alexandre Pato to Corinthians and with Robinho likely to follow his compatriot back to Brazil, and now with Abate being linked to a move to Russia, Milan may be able to purchase €35m Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.

    Milan shld nt b tempted into dat trap of selling out Abate 2 Zenit d guy shld stay $ play his game. To me Abate is far far better dan De Sciglio if nt injury he’d had 2 struggle wit who is De Sciglio?
