AC Milan are hoping to sign a new full-back in Davide Santon as well as one of two of his centre-back international teammates in Davide Astori or Angelo Ogbonna, according to reports on Calciomercato today.

The Rossoneri have already shown they are willing to give younger players a chance, especially at the other end of the field and are looking to bring in further younger players to add fresh faces to an experienced defence.

They have reportedly already made contact with Newcastle United about the possibility of bringing former Inter defender Santon back to the city this summer and are als0 hopeful of bringing in their own ex-defender Astori too.

He turned down a big money move to Moscow last summer stating he wants to stay in Sardinia and Milan know his loyalty to the Rossoblu meaning they have had to identify an alternative.

That man is Torino defender Ogbonna who they could choose to move for should their planned swoop for Astori not go ahead.

Not just content there, they are also looking at a new goalkeeper with Andrea Consigli of Atalanta and Pescara’s on-loan Genoa youngster Mattia Perin catching their eye.

They are also closing in on securing the signing of Hellas Verona’s highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Jorginho although Inter are also keen.
