AC Milan and Juventus are both interested in signing young Sampdoria striker Simone Zaza, currently on loan with Serie B side Ascoli.

Zaza’s contract expires in June 2014 and according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, has shown no intention of renewing his current deal, piquing the interest of the two Italian heavyweights. The 21-year-old has taken the second division by storm with 14 goals to his name, good for third highest in Serie B.

Incidentally, the striker is linked to both Milan and Juventus on a personal level, as he is a lifelong fan of the Rossoneri.

His link to the league leaders lies in ex-Sampdoria head scout and current Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici, who brought him from Atalanta to Sampdoria in 2010.

Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida and vice-president Adriano Galliani have been monitoring the player’s progress for some time now, and Juventus have also keeping tabs on the Italian youth international.

Zaza spent the repvious season on loan with Juve Stabia and Viareggio, scoring nine goals in 20 total appearances.
