Roma’s Erik Lamela and Marquinhos are both being watched by Barcelona and Manchester United, however, it would take a large amount of cash for the Giallorossi to even consider their departure.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have rejected Barcelona’s €25 million offer for the Brazilian teenager as well as a €35m bid from United for the Argentine international.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would still like to bring in Lamela even after losing out on signing the attacking midfielder two summers ago when he left River Plate to join Roma.

Lamela, 20, is enjoying a breakout season for the capital club after a promising first season in Serie A, scoring 11 times in 21 matches thus far, good for fourth best in the league.

Marquinhos signed for Roma this past summer from Copa Libertadoes winners Corinthians and has settled nicely in Italy, appearing in 20 of Roma’s 25 league matches, 17 times as a starter.

Lamela and Marquinhos are under contract with Roma until 2016 and 2017 respectively.
