After Cagliari’s 2-0 win away to Pescara on Sunday afternoon, midfielder Radja Nainggolan tweeted a photo of his teammates holding a placard in support of recently arrested club president Massimo Cellino.

The tweet read: “We are a spectacular group. Now you see how united we are!!! What a victory!!! And also for? #forzacasteddu.”

Italian authorities arrested Cellino on February 14 on charges of false representation and embezzlement in the Is Arenas construction project. The mayor of Quartu Sant’Elena, where the stadium is located, was arrested as well.

Cagliari supporters who traveled to Pescara to watch their team also showed signs of support towards Cellino, with some even following the match outside the prison where the 56-year-old is being held.

The Rossoblu made light work of Pescara thanks to two goals in eight minutes by Marco Sau during the second half, and with the win the Sardinians are now seven points clear of the relegation zone in 14th place.
