Juan Pablo Carrizo has expressed joy at his January move to Inter from Serie A rivals Lazio.

The Argentine, also formerly of Catania, was acquired by the Nerazzurri for a fee of €250,000.

“I’m here to give my all, to help my teammates,” Carrizo said to Inter Channel after passing his medical. “It’s an honour to join Inter.

“I’m very proud to be part of this great squad of players, many of whom I already know. I’ve already heard from Javier Zanetti and Rodrigo Palacio who congratulated me.

“It’s a very special moment for me.”

Carrizo has been brought in to back up Samir Handanovic, as Luca Castellazi will require surgery after injuring his shoulder against Hellas Verona in the Coppa Italia back in December.

“It’ll be great to work and train alongside Handanovic,” the new signing went on to say. “He is an excellent goalkeeper.”
