Marco Verratti has conceded that his ultimate desire is to play in Serie A, but downplayed a potential move to Juventus in the near future.

The Italian international was a revelation under Zdenek Zeman at Pescara last season, and was consequently captured by nouveau-riche French side Paris Saint-Germain over the summer for €12 million.

The Bianconeri were also interested in taking on Verratti, and rumors still persist suggesting that the reigning Serie A champions will float a bid for his services at the end of the season.

“I made the right decision in going to PSG,” the 20 year-old said after scoring a stoppage time equaliser in Italy’s 1-1 draw with the Netherlands on Wednesday.

“I feel settled there playing alongside the great champions that we have, but it is obvious that my dream is to play in Serie A.

“Do I watch Juventus Channel on TV at home? No, I’m waiting for a Pescara Channel to arrive…”

Verratti is seen by many as the heir apparent to Italy’s formost playmaker, Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
