Emerging reports in Italy suggest that Premier League side Chelsea may turn to the peninsula in an effort to solve their coaching woes.

Former Inter boss Rafael Benitez has been at the helm of the London club since the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo in late November after the Blues’ 3-0 Champions League loss to Juventus in Turin.

However, the Spaniard has proved an unpopular figure with the fans as the team continues to struggle to find its form.

The Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is now keen on bringing in Juventus manager Antonio Conte, and will in turn offer him the manager’s job at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian press has also claimed that the Champions League title holders are considering offering the position to Watford tactician Gianfranco Zola, who played for the Blues from 1996 to 2003.
