Despite the Italian transfer window closing last night, AC Milan’s Brazilian striker Robinho could still leave the club and link up with Santos who are desperate to sign him.

The Brazilian transfer window does not close until the end of March meaning there is still plenty of time for Santos to plot a swoop to bring the 29-year-old back to the club where he scored 61 times in four years,Gazzetta dello Sportis reporting.

The Rossoneri are apparently going to evaluate the player’s worth to them before deciding whether or not they will sell him to the Peixe.

He has yet to start a game under Massimiliano Allegri since the turn of the year and will find chances even more limited after the arrival of Mario Balotelli.

It is unclear what the fee involved would be as yet but do not be surprised to see Robinho leave San Siro soon if chances continue to be limited.

  1. Juan Carlos says:

Padraig…what is your opinion? do you think the team should sell Robinho?

  2. I personally think that they should get rid of him.

He can’t seem to force his way into the side and that will only be worse now after the signing of Balotelli.

Even Bojan seems to be ahead of him in the pecking order at times and would probably be a good idea just to get him off the wage bill.

Would you like to see him stay?
