Miccoli Could Leave

A day after openly criticising club captain , Rosanero owner has announced the striker could leave the Renzo Barbera at the season’s end.

“He won’t necessarily stay,” Zamparini told the Giornale di Sicilia. “He could leave. He could receive offers that we are unable to match.

“We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”

The striker has been with the Rosanero since 2007, and has tallied 71 goals in 156 games. Miccoli’s contract will run out at the end of the season and Palermo’s possible relegation and Zamparini’s harsh words could sway his decision.

Miccoli is currently Palermo’s top goal scorer with five goals in 2012/13. Palermo are bottom of on 21 points from 29 matches; only three of which are wins.

My first memories of soccer was playing at the age of 5, but I didn't see my first match on TV until six years later. That was the 1994 World Cup, and I've been hooked ever since. I gained my England FA coaching certificate and coached at the youth level in England and Hungary while working in education.
