AC Milan’s Galliani: Allegri is going nowhere
AC Milan’s vice president Adriano Galliani has moved quickly to quash rumours that manager Massimiliano Allegri will be on the move this summer.
The 45-year-old tactician’s future at the Rossoneri helm has often been subject to speculation during his tenure, with recent reports linking him to Roma before his contract expires in June 2014.
However, Galliani vehemently denied these reports, stating in an interview with Sky Sports Italia, “There are no worries about his stay here.
“Allegri is welded to the Milan bench with a blowtorch.”
The club official also touched on Stephan El Shaarawy’s performances as of late, with some reports believing that the young attacker is suffering from a goal drought following his blistering form in the first half of the season. Despite being second in the scoring charts with 16 goals, only two of those have come since January, leading many to wonder why and if he will be able to regain his confidence in front of goal.
Nonetheless, Galliani believes that this is a normal occurrence and pointed out that other more experienced strikers have suffered from the same issue as well.
“There is no crisis. There are times in a forward’s career when they find themselves in negative spells.”
“[For instance], just look at Edinson Cavani who is back to scoring.”

Not to be cynical but…every time Galliani starts making these kinds of declarations, something’s definitely rumbling behind the scenes.
