Giuseppe Marotta hopes Conte will remain at Juventus
Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has come out to laud coach Antonio Conte’s abilities, and added that he hopes to see him remain with Juventus for a long time yet.
Conte joined Juventus in 2011 and led a revitalized Bianconeri to their first league title since 2003 in his first season.
Marotta has expressed that he wants Conte to remain with the club for a long time, as the reigning champions currently lead second placed Napoli by nine points.
“Conte is a great coach and I hope he will remain at Juventus for a long time to come,” Marotta told Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.
“I understand that not everyone is like Alex Ferguson, but I am convinced that we will have him with us for many more years.
“We have created a model club and squad. There is a coach who is hungry, as well as the players. Everybody plays with enthusiasm and knowledge of wearing an important jersey.”
Conte’s side have recently defeated Bologna 2 – 0, extending their unbeaten run to nine matches between Serie A and the Champions League.
