Inter keen to add former Real Madrid youth player

are interested in signing ’s for next season’s campaign according to reports in Portugal.

The Nerazzurri are looking to bolster an attacking line that has sputtered since the season-ending injury to Diego Milito and the lack of impact from January signing Tommaso Rocchi.

Record are reporting that Inter have targeted Rodrigo due to his ability to play several attacking positions, though he is largely seen as a striker.

The Brazilian-born Spanish footballer grew up in the youth ranks, before joining Benfica in 2010 for approximately €6 million. It is reported that the Nerazzurri would have to cough up €10 million in order to land the Rio de Janeiro native.

Since then he has gone on to score 15 goals in 37 appearances for the Águias. His contract runs until 2019 and has a €45 million buy-out clause.

Adriano Boin

- A passionate F.C. Internazionale supporter since the young age of 10, my love for the club came about on a family trip to Italy after their signing of Roberto Baggio. Much to the dismay of my father (a Milan fan) my love for the club only grew stronger and has taken me on trips to Genova and Boston to see my club in action. The greatest of these journeys was being blessed by incredible luck (to which this day I still cannot comprehend) which allowed me to travel to Madrid, see the 2010 Champions League Final in the flesh and experience a week-long trip that will probably never be surpassed. Feel free to add me on Twitter to talk about Inter, Italy or calcio in general @Boin44
