Italy plane hit by lightning

The plane carrying the national team to Geneva for tomorrow’s friendly against Brazil was hit by lightning.

Reports state the plane was in the process of landing at Geneva Airport when a bolt of lightning struck.

Fortunately there were no injuries nor serious damage to the plane, which was able to land safely, but the passengers were clearly shaken by the incident.

“The situation was always under control,” assured captain Roberto  completing the journey from Florence.
