Juventus chief John Elkann has dismissed rumors that Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return to the Serie A side.

The past few weeks have seen reports indicate that Ibrahimovic could be on his way, arising in response to news that he is unsettled in Paris after an angry rant directed towards the fans of the club.

Bianconeri favorite Pavel Nedved has suggested that a return to Turin is possible, but FIAT President John Elkann was sure to make it known that he would not be returning.

Elkan said, “The Swede is part of Juventus history. However, this team doesn’t need superstars.

“The real strength of this Juventus is the team unit.”

Ibrahimovic’s last stint with Juventus ended in 2006, after the news of the demotion reached the club following the Calciopoli scandal.  The Swede went on to join arch rivals Inter.
