Juventus hold talks with agent over Torino defender
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici met with the agent of Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna in view of a possible summer transfer.
The rumours have gained steam as Juve director general Beppe Marotta confirmed the club’s interest in the 24-year-old.
Paratici reportedly dined with Giovanni Branchini, Ogbonna’s representative, who yesterday denied reports linking the Frosinone native with a move to Lazio.
Injuries have affected Ogbonna’s campaign this season, limiting him to 14 Serie A appearances.
It is thought that Torino owner Urbano Cairo would prefer to sell Ogbonna to a foreign club rather than to his side’s city rivals.
Torino value Ogbonna at close to €20 million, but it is thought that Juve would make a player plus cash offer for the Italian international.
