Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has thanked his club for enabling him to make his debut with the France national team.

The youngster, who turned 20 last week, earned his first call-up in France’s World Cup qualifying campaign against Georgia at the Stade de France, which ended as a 3-1 victory in favour of the home team.

Speaking to reporters after the win, Pogba stated, “I am happy to have my first cap and always try to ensure I am ready, both for France and my club.

“Obviously, I would never have reached this stage of the national team without Juventus, so I am very grateful to the Bianconeri.”

Pogba began his footballing career at small local sides US Roissy-en-Brie and US Torcy before moving on to Le Havre and subsequently to Manchester United in 2009, where he spent two years in the Red Devils’ youth academy.

Yet, after making his senior debut in 2011, he grew frustrated with the lack of playing opportunities afforded him and opted to leave the Premier League giants on a free transfer to Juventus last summer.

Since arriving in Turin, he has quickly become a fan favorite with the reigning Serie A champions, and has scored five goals so far for the Bianconeri.

I felt sorry for Pogba at Manchester United, yes he had talent, yes he deserved a chance at senior football, and yes his frustration was possibly well founded, But United
also had a loyalty to Paul Scholes, a legend of the game who had given
his all to the club he loved and who still had a lot to offer, they brought him
out of retirement to help Uniteds midfield, and Paul Pogba got his nose
out of joint thinking he had been overlooked not the case, but he failed to
understand it was only a temporary move, so he left and good luck to him.
But what i find wrong is his continuing criticism of the
club who went a long way to help develop the skills he is starting to show,
what Pogba lacks is the understanding that there are young players at the
club, some better and some not than himself, who are still waiting to get
their chance to play senior football, if your parents had been able to pass
on to you a little more up top as well as the obvious football skills they
certainly did, you might and i say might have been able to understand
the reception an ex Man United player received just recently when playing
    for an opposition club.
