Juventus and Inter could be set to revive their interest in Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney who could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

The England international was benched for his side’s key Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday leading to fevered speculation he could be set to depart.

That has led The Sun to report today that he could leave the club this summer for a fee in the region of £20m and both Italian clubs are being linked with the player they were formerly interested in.

They are not the only clubs who could offer him a way out of the Red Devils with Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Anzi Makhachkala all in for him according to the newspaper.

With Diego Milito also being linked with a move back to Argentina this summer, the Nerazzurri would seem more likely to sign him rather than the Bianconeri as they have already secured the signing of Fernando Llorente for next year.

The 27-year-old has 11 goals and nine assists in 20 games this season.
