Mario Balotelli and I were nothing like Stramaccioni and Cassano

The former Milan striker was left out of the squad that faced Catania last week and also fined €40,000 as it was reported that he and Andrea Stramaccioni had a very frank exchange of words.

The former coach went on to state that there was never a physical confrontation with between himself and Mario Balotelli when he was at Manchester City.

“Mario and I are like Stramaccioni and Cassano? Never,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “When Mario made a bad foul in training, I called him back by pulling his shirt – then the tabloids created a story out of it.

“Mario will never change who he is, but the important thing is that he learns to behave properly on the field.”
