Niang lauds AC Milan coach for being a ‘father figure’

striker M’Baye Niang has praised coach Massimiliano Allegri for being like a father to the young Frenchmen.

The 18-year-old has received ample playing time under Allegri despite his young age, and Niang wants to repay that faith by scoring his first league goal for the club sooner rather than later.

“I saw that Balotelli was feeling better, which is a good thing,” Niang told Milan Channel.

“Allegri? He is like a father to me, he gives me the right advice and makes me work a lot.”

“I started my first away match at the Marassi and for this reason I am hoping to score my first goal for AC Milan on Friday.”

- A passionate F.C. Internazionale supporter since the young age of 10, my love for the club came about on a family trip to Italy after their signing of Roberto Baggio. Much to the dismay of my father (a Milan fan) my love for the club only grew stronger and has taken me on trips to Genova and Boston to see my club in action. The greatest of these journeys was being blessed by incredible luck (to which this day I still cannot comprehend) which allowed me to travel to Madrid, see the 2010 Champions League Final in the flesh and experience a week-long trip that will probably never be surpassed. Feel free to add me on Twitter to talk about Inter, Italy or calcio in general @Boin44
