Perfection is essential against Juventus states Bayern defender
Bayern Munich defender Dante believes his side will be challenged by Juventus when the two teams meet in their Champions League quarter-finals tie.
Four-times winners Bayern Munich will face a rejuvenated Juventus side in what is seen as the best matchup of the next round of the competition.
“We’ll have to play a perfect game at the Allianz Arena,” the Brazilian told Tuttosport on Wednesday morning.
“We have to get a positive result ahead of the return leg in Turin. I expect a very tough, difficult match and one that will be complicated for us.”
“Juventus are going through a good run of form. Gigi Buffon is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.”
“Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are the foundations of a solid defence that doesn’t concede a lot. Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio control the midfield. They’ll give us a lot of work to do.”
Dante will get a taste of what it will be like to play some of the Juventus players as Brazil will be facing Italy in a friendly this week.
“The game will be a match between Brazil and a masked Juventus. I see that eight of them have been called up by Cesare Prandelli. It’s a little like what happens with Germany and the Bayern players.”
