Player Fined by Lazio

Zarate has only featured once for since returning from loan at Inter.

has once again found himself in hot water with Lazio.

The attacker, who was expected to leave last January, was given the week off by the club for a reported injury. However, Zarate was apparently spotted in the Maldives by a surprised Lazio supporter on holiday.

Lazio are reportedly ready to fine the Argentine striker 30% of his wages and possibly take him to court of the incident. The striker was supposed to be in his home country nursing his alleged injury, but it seems he was actually celebrating his birthday on the island in the Indian Ocean.

Zarate has been at odds with Lazio since early this season and is currently having problems with both the club’s coaching staff over playing time and the club’s  hierarchy over a new contract.
